About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up of greens, top dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging
- Assisting in the preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals
- Safely operate and maintain small machinery and plant, as required, considering the risk to self and others
- Assisting in the equipment and plant maintenance repairs including carrying out tasks allotted under the grounds and gardens maintenance plan
- Assisting in the ordering and purchase of materials.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Knowledge of maintaining playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing
- Ability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals
- Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery, ensuring safety for all
- Experience in equipment and plant maintenance, following the grounds maintenance plan
- Ability to assist in ordering and purchasing materials for maintenance tasks
- Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level, or completion of an apprenticeship
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
