About the opportunity
St Dympna’s Parish School, Aspley, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our school community. This flexible opportunity can be offered as a combined 30-hour role or as two separate part-time positions:
In this position you will be responsible for:
Finance Secretary (15.2 hours per week):
- Manage school financial administration including accounts payable and receivable
- Support families with school fee processes
- Liaise with the Brisbane Catholic Education finance team
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Assist with front office reception duties, as required
- Contribute to a welcoming and professional school environment
Marketing Officer (12.8 hours per week):
- Create and manage engaging digital and print communication materials
- Update and maintain the school’s website and social media platforms
- Promote school events and initiatives in alignment with brand and vision
- Build strong community engagement through storytelling and visual content
- Collaborate with staff to capture the life of the school
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
You are an organised and approachable professional with a strong sense of initiative and attention to detail. With experience in financial administration, marketing, or both, you are confident using digital tools, communicating clearly, and working collaboratively in a school environment.

Experience in finance administration and/or marketing roles

A high standard of accuracy, confidentiality, and time management

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

Proficiency in software such as finance systems, Canva, and social media platforms

Flexibility to support front office operations and contribute to a team-oriented culture
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
