About the opportunity
The School Finance Coordinator assists the Business Manager with a wide range of financial and administrative functions to support the school’s financial operations. This position coordinates financial administration activities and provides support to ensure the school meets key reporting deadlines.
This is a diverse role, offering the opportunity to showcase your financial expertise and organizational skills. You will work closely with Support Accountants, the School Leadership Administration Team, staff, parents, and suppliers.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Managing various Accounts Payable duties as required by the school
- Overseeing school finances, billing, and fee collection
- Reconcile bank accounts and handle cashier/banking duties
- Maintain accurate data entry and financial records
- Overseeing the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommending improvements to processes and procedures
- Developing and interpreting legislation, regulations, procedures and other guideline material relating to the financial operations of the school
- Preparing and maintaining procurement activities, including overseeing budget administration, and activities
- Reviewing, developing and implementing processes and systems that enable effective financial management consistent with the school’s strategic and operational objectives
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable is essential
- Proven ability to oversee and improve systems and resources
- Strong understanding of financial legislation, regulations, and procedures
- Experience in managing procurement and budget administration
- Skills in developing and implementing effective financial management processes
- Leadership ability to supervise and train support staff
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
