Summary
Help drive strategy, manage finances, and oversee daily operations, working closely with the leadership team to achieve key operational goals of the Facilities team. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for supporting the effective management, maintenance, and improvement of college facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all.

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet timelines, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor building project progress, report on milestones, and conduct site visits and weekly walkthroughs with the project manager.
- Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, grounds, and equipment to minimise disruptions and extend asset life.
- Track and record maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform regular inspections of college facilities, identifying issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations for upgrades and repairs.
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritise facility needs and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and BCE policies.
- Lead and support grounds and facilities staff in maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep, promoting pride in the college’s presentation.
- Work with the Work Health and Safety team to maintain accurate records of procurement, contractor engagements, and uphold WHS standards.
- Manage fleet operations and other duties as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.
