Trinity College is a co-educational Catholic College with an enrolment of over 960 students from Years 7 -12. The College is administered by the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane through the Brisbane Catholic Education Office and is a member of Marist Schools of Australia.

Summary
The Languages and Literacy Curriculum Leader supports the mission of the school by leading the development, implementation, and supervision of innovative curriculum and teaching practices in English and Languages, fostering student engagement and excellence through data-informed decision-making and collaborative leadership.

About the opportunity
This is a continuing teaching appointment, with a one year initial appointment as Languages and Literacy Curriculum Leader, concluding at the end of the current triennium (December 2026). Two subsequent three-year appointments as Languages and Literacy Curriculum Leader can be offered subject to satisfactory performance in the position and the ongoing existence of the position.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Lead the coordination and development of English and Languages curriculum across all year levels, ensuring alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
- Drive innovative teaching practices by applying contemporary research and data analysis to classroom practice.
- Support and mentor staff through professional development, supervision, and induction of new teachers within curriculum areas.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment by engaging with cross-disciplinary teams to design integrated learning experiences.
- Oversee the quality of student learning by analyzing performance data and implementing targeted interventions for improvement.
- Manage curriculum-related resources, including budgeting and allocation of funds for program needs.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including staff, students, and families, about curriculum initiatives and student progress.
- Contribute to the broader leadership of the school by actively participating in staff and middle leadership meetings, embodying the school’s mission and values.

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Developed work programs in alignment with national, state, and local requirements.
- Driving the assessment and moderation process when developing new programs.
- Leading and innovating within a specified curriculum area.
- Stakeholder engagement fostering collaboration and transparency.
- Having responsibility for a financial budget.

- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
