About our school 
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is a co-educational school, situated on 4.5 hectares with sweeping mountain views, with an enrolment of over 700 students. St Joseph's School, in strong partnership with the parish priest and parish community, is recognised for proudly offering quality, inclusive, Catholic Education. About the opportunity

The School Admin Officer Support role provides flexible, practical support to the front office and leadership team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of school operations.

This role focuses on managing photocopying and resource preparation, supporting medication processes, maintaining organised and compliant records, and assisting with general office and event functions to reduce workload pressures across the school.

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

 

  • Photocopying & Resource Support
  • Manage and prioritise photocopying, printing and laminating requests
  • Prepare classroom resources and booklets as required
  • Maintain photocopying areas and supplies

 

Student Medication Support

  • Assist with administration of student medication in line with school procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with processes

 

Office & Administrative Support

  • Provide general support to the front office team during busy periods
  • Assist with answering phones or managing front office flow when required
  • Support Organisation of daily admin tasks

 

Records Management

  • Support the archiving of school records in line with school and system requirements
  • Maintain organised, accurate and accessible filing systems (both physical and digital)
  • Assist with the secure storage and disposal of records where required

 

Facilities & Environment

  • Prepare and maintain shared spaces including:
  • Staffroom
  • Meeting rooms
  • First aid room
  • Ensure spaces are clean, organised and ready for use

 

Event & Hospitality Support

  • Assist with school events, meetings and visits (e.g. setting up rooms, catering, resources)
  • Support leadership team with preparation for meetings and visitors
  • Flexible Support Role
  • Act as a "floating" support person across the school
  • Respond to emerging needs and provide practical assistance where required
  • Support front office staff by providing coverage for breaks where appropriate

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Previous experience in a school or administrative setting (desirable)

  • Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities

  • Flexible and adaptable-able to move between tasks easily

  • Proactive-able to identify what needs doing and take initiative

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-focused attitude

  • Comfortable using technology (printers, basic admin systems)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
