About the opportunity

St John Fisher College is seeking a part-time Enrolments Officer who will work as part of a collaborative team providing services to parents and students (current and prospective), school staff, and the wider school community.

 

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matters
  • Developing and/or administering processes and procedures and responding to enquiries
  • Monitoring service delivery to identify efficiencies and ensure compliance with government and departmental legislation, directives, policies, and standards
  • Facilitating work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Supervising and training support staff as required, ensuring high standards of administrative support
  • Supporting the College Principal in the implementation of enrolments procedures
  • Preparation of enrolment information
  • Managing the 'Online Enrolment Form' process, including oversight of the process from an enquiry for enrolment to the commencement of the student at the College
  • Timely communication and follow-up with prospective families, including collection of application fees/bonds and associated paperwork
  • Preparation and sending letters of offers
  • Maintaining liaison between parents and the College Principal during the process and subsequent enrolment
  • Maintaining and providing reports from Brisbane Catholic Education systems
  • Organisation of College tours for prospective families
  • Maintain Enquiry Tracker database
  • Keeping the College Principal updated on administration issues
  • Maintaining and providing reports from Brisbane Catholic Education systems; and keeping the College Principal updated on administration issues
  • Assist in the organisation and marketing of College events including on-the-day activities
  • Assist in the ongoing College administrative improvement processes.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
  • Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
  • Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
  • Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic
  • Display proven administration, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a quick learner with the ability to multi-task and work in a high-pressure environment
  • Must demonstrate experience and knowledge in the use of technology including extensive Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Brisbane Catholic Education Enterprise systems (i.e., eMinerva, Online Enrolment Form, School, Student and Parent Portals) will be highly regarded
  • Must be available to work Fridays to support monthly College tours.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
