About the opportunity
We are seeking a College Student Receptionist to fulfill a fixed term contract for Term 2 2025. The Student Reception role requires you to undertake a diverse range of administration duties within our busy school office. First aid qualifications or capacity to gain is essential. WHS qualifications would be advantageous but not essential. You will be the first contact for our students and therefore must be extremely personable and welcoming. You will work as part of a collaborative team providing services to students and parents, school staff and the wider school community.
You will display proven administration, communication and interpersonal skills; be a quick learner with the ability to multi-task and work in a high-pressure environment. Must demonstrate experience and knowledge in the use of technology including extensive Microsoft Office skills. A knowledge of Brisbane Catholic Education Enterprise systems (i.e. eMinerva, School, Student and Parent Portals) will be highly regarded.

Hours of Duty:
Term Time Fixed Term
35 hours / 5 days per week
7.30am - 3:00pm with 30-minute lunch break
Please note: Some flexibility of hours worked may be required
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Providing a wide range of administrative support to the school leadership team to effectively manage their availability, schedules, and appointments
- Responding to enquiries ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided in a timely manner
- Assisting in the development, maintenance and operations of administrative systems and databases, recommending improvements as necessary
- Maintaining stock and issue expendable stores including recording stock levels and the distribution of equipment, delivery dockets, invoices and payment vouchers
- Establishing and maintaining filing and records management systems, including registers and databases, ensuring easy and on-time retrieval of information
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Providing general administrative support
- Diary management and the scheduling of activities and appointments at a senior level
- Maintaining a variety of administrative systems
- Being responsible for enquiries from a variety of stakeholders and supplying timely information in an engaging way
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
