About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing and monitoring the progress of students and identify learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies for students requiring additional learning scaffolding, including students with learning disabilities
  • Assisting in the development of varying teaching methods, materials, and assessments to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom
  • Gathering insights into students' individual needs and develop appropriate strategies to improve student learning outcomes
  • Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
  • Ensuring overseas student’s families are provided with information on the school's enrolment requirements, application procedures, and any documentation, addressing any queries or concerns
  • Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities
  • Monitoring the progress of students and identifying learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
  • Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
  • Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Experience assessing and monitoring student progress to identify areas for targeted intervention
  • Exposure to creating diverse teaching methods and assessments to accommodate various learning styles
  • Skilled in developing strategies to enhance student learning outcomes based on individual needs
  • Experience in collaborating with specialists to address student needs
  • Knowledge about the specific needs for First Nations and international students including cultural considerations 
  • Certificate III in Education Support
  • Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
  • Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
  • Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
  • Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
  • Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
