St Eugene College is a Catholic co-educational Prep-12 school located in Burpengary, with an enrolment of over 1500 students and a staff of approximately 150. About the opportunity
The College Receptionist plays a key role in delivering friendly, professional support to staff, students, and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of the College. Reporting to the Business Manager, this position maintains smooth and effective reception processes in line with the College’s values and works collaboratively as part of the Administration Team, providing support to student services when required.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matter.
- Oversee daily Front Reception operations, assisting Student Reception and Sick Bay as required, and provide a welcoming first point of contact for staff, students, and visitors.
- Provide administrative and operational support across a wide range of tasks, including volunteer records, filing systems, staff contact/room allocation, eMinerva entries, reports, enrolments, EFTPOS transactions, mail, deliveries, staff pigeonholes, and the signing in/out register (Passtab).
- Develop and administer processes and procedures, respond to enquiries, and monitor service delivery to ensure efficiency, compliance with policies, legislation, and safety standards, and timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate stationery supplies and oversee Prep–12 photocopier resources and servicing.
- Provide administrative support to Leadership, Middle Leadership, and Student Services, facilitating workflows and meeting deadlines.
- Supervise and train support staff as required, maintaining high standards of administrative support.
- Perform first aid duties (current First Aid Certificate required) and undertake other reasonable duties consistent with skills and safe working conditions
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
- Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
- Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
- Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
- Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
