About our team 
The Customer Solutions team leads BCE's IT project portfolio, acting as the bridge between IT capabilities and customer needs. They ensure that technology solutions enhance customer interactions, improve experiences, and support BCE's growth. The team fosters a culture of continuous innovation through collaboration and transparency, delivering valuable business outcomes across the digital ecosystem.  

The Business Engagement team within our Information & Technology function is dedicated to driving transformative initiatives that empower progress and adoption across our organisation. Partnering with our BCE and Cairns’ Schools and head offices, our team harnesses cutting-edge technologies, AI, and best practices to optimise processes, enhance & support user experiences, and ensure the ongoing improvement, integrity, and functionality of our systems. Our mission is to be a trusted partner in driving the success, efficiencies, and growth of our organisation and technology landscape. Our dedicated team of highly skilled System Administrators, Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, & Support Staff, comprised of Business Technology Services, School Technology Services, and Portfolio & Digital Experience manages a wide range of critical systems, including Finance, Payroll, LMS, HRIS, Risk & Compliance, Corporate Intranet, and School Administration & Information systems

 

Summary

We have two ICT Engagement Advisor roles supporting our HR and corporate verticals, within schools and BCEO. This role will enable contemporary pedagogies and business practices while developing and enhancing the digital experience for staff, students, teachers and parents.

  • Salary: $122,215.26 -$135,119.02 plus super

About the opportunity

 

In this position you will:

  • Provide advice on complex technical, commercial, operational and administrative management practices and ensuring service delivery of outcomes
  • ​Coordinate product enhancement activities including user stories, solution design and user testing scenarios for products
  • Provide high level subject matter expertise on technical and complex matters
  • Collaborate across business areas to develop, implement or resolve organisational requirements and needs
  • Advise on and support technology adoption, digital literacy, learning experience design and content development for our school and office end users
  • Undertake in-depth research and analysis to provide professional and technical advice on specialised administrative and complex operational issues
  • Analyse data and information, streamline processes, identify gaps and trends to improve and enhance operational practices
  • Identify, design, analyse and resolve specific issues affecting systems, workflows and projects to improve efficiencies and performance within the business area
  • ​Partner with consultant groups, vendors and stakeholders to ensure products meet business requirements and expectations, and opportunities for ongoing development and innovation are assessed
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify needs and collaborate in the development of solutions
  • Instruct and assign work to staff and review the quality of work undertaken by these roles

About you

 

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:   

  • Proficient system administrator and/or functional consultant across HR Solutions – SuccessFactors preferred- HR Success factors role
  • Proficient system administrator and/or functional consultant across corporate solutions such as Risk, Compliance, & Safety, Records Management, SharePoint -Corporate Solutions role
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project and Change Management practices related to information systems support, optimisation, and implementation
  • Demonstrated capability in identifying and updating processes and procedure documents, and other collateral to support new initiatives and improve business operations
  • Ability to advise and support technology adoption, digital literacy, learning experience design and content development for our school and office end users
  • Proficient in delivering responsive service desk support, including incident resolution and user assistance, while ensuring minimal disruption and a positive end-user experience.
  • Conducted high level reviews and investigations linked to organisational performance
  • Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams in your area of specialty
  • Tertiary qualifications in education, business, information technology, information systems, or relevant experience (highly regarded but not essential)
