Summary

As the Senior Advisor – Technical Delivery Coordination, you will play a key role in driving the successful delivery of technical projects and operational initiatives. This position is responsible for overseeing task allocation, monitoring progress, and ensuring that technical solutions meet organisational objectives. You will collaborate with managers, team leaders, and external partners to resolve issues, optimise resources, and deliver high-quality outcomes. Your strategic advice and leadership will help shape policies, improve processes, and support the achievement of project milestones across the organisation.

About the opportunity

In this position you will: 

  • Oversee and coordinate the allocation of tasks across multiple projects and business-as-usual teams, ensuring resources are used efficiently and deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with external service providers and work closely with Program and Project Managers to escalate and resolve issues promptly, maintaining high standards of delivery.
  • Assess team skill sets and capacity to match tasks appropriately, monitoring progress to ensure technical requirements and project objectives are achieved.
  • Provide strategic advice and leadership in developing policies and procedures that positively influence organisational direction and operational outcomes.
  • Analyse complex data and negotiate solutions to technical and operational challenges, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise teams conducting detailed analysis of alternative approaches, helping to determine organisational and operational requirements for successful project delivery.
  • Prepare specialised technical reports and committee papers, communicating project status, risks, challenges, and milestones to stakeholders.  

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:    

  • Leading a variety of projects to meet operational outcomes.  
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and software development processes.
  • Analytical in your approach to problem solving.  
  • Conducted high level reviews and investigations linked to organisational performance.  
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and large-scale IT projects.
  • Knowledge of AI, cloud technologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), or IT infrastructure management.
  • Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams in your area of specialty.  
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or previous experience in a similar position (highly regarded).
  • Recognised project management qualification (e.g., CAPM, PMP, MSP, MoP, PMBOK, PRINCE2).
