Summary

Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead to provide senior technical leadership across complex IT initiatives that support and enable our organisational strategy. This role leads the end‑to‑end technical delivery of key programs and projects, building strong, trusted relationships with project managers, solution architects, vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, secure and scalable outcomes. It is a senior position requiring sound judgement, strong influence and a proven ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels while effectively managing diverse stakeholder expectations.

About the opportunity

 

In this position you will:  

  • Lead the planning, coordination and execution of technical deliverables across major IT projects and initiatives
  • Provide expert technical advice that shapes strategic direction and improves organisational efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical scope, architecture and delivery approach
  • Oversee system integration, testing and deployment activities
  • Identify and manage technical risk, ensuring alignment with security, governance and compliance standards
  • Drive continuous improvement through strong delivery practices, process optimisation and data‑informed decision making
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, delivery partners and vendors to enable effective technical outcomes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, translating complex technical concepts into clear, practical guidance that supports decision‑making

About you

 

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:    

  • Proven experience leading technical delivery in complex IT environments
  • Strong capability across system architecture, integration and modern cloud technologies
  • Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and attainment.  
  • A collaborative leadership style, with experience managing competing priorities and expectations while maintaining positive, outcome‑focused partnerships
  • A practical, outcomes‑focused approach to risk management, change and delivery governance
  • Extensive experience in leading IT enabled projects within large organisations. 
  • Stakeholder engagement across an organisation at a Senior level.  
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field are well regarded, however equivalent experience will also be considered.
