About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for: 

  • Contributing to and promoting the development, alignment, attainment and review of the mission and strategic goals for Brisbane Catholic Education 
  • Implementing projects that nurture the religious identity and culture of the school 
  • Encouraging, facilitating and supporting faith, spiritual and pastoral development for students 
  • Promoting connections within and beyond the wider Church community 
  • Creating opportunities for student prayer and worship and contributing to significant school liturgies and celebrations.  

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including: 

  • Aligning activities and programs within an organisation to support the achievement of the mission and strategic goals 
  • Led initiatives that foster and enhance the religious identity and culture within a school 
  • Actively supported the faith, spiritual, and pastoral growth of students through targeted programs 
  • Built connections with the broader Church community to enrich a school’s religious life 
  • Organised and facilitated student prayer, worship, and key school liturgies and celebrations 
  • Hold or be willing to successfully complete a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education (Campus Ministry) or equivalent as recognised by BCE (e.g. 4 units at university level in Religious Education or Theology or Ministry or similar related field 
  • For this position you are required to be Catholic. 

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements: 

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment 
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
