About our school 
St Joseph's College Coomera is a Brisbane Catholic Education master planned co-educational College that opened in January 2019. Our first Seniors graduated in 2024. The College is located in Coomera on the Northern Gold Coast, 40 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD.

About the opportunity

The Assistant Principal – Administration is responsible for the effective operation and integration of college administration systems, ensuring seamless support for staff and students. This role oversees the administration of BCE systems, supports staff in their use, and leads the integration of data across student learning, reporting, and wellbeing platforms. The AP Administration fosters a culture of operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement in administrative practices. 

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Oversight of Administration Systems: Lead the operation and integration of all college administration systems, ensuring they support the needs of staff, students, and the broader college community. Oversee the implementation and ongoing support of BCE-required systems, providing guidance and troubleshooting for staff.
  •  Systems Integration and Data Management: Ensure effective integration between various college systems (student learning, reporting, wellbeing, timetable, intranet, college website and administration). Take responsibility for data collection, management, and insights to inform college operations and student outcomes.
  • Timetable Coordination: Oversee the construction and management of the college timetable, working closely with the Tier Two Timetable Coordinator. Ensure timetabling supports curriculum delivery, staff allocation, and student needs. Monitor progress and adjust supports as required.
  • Support for Staff: Provide professional development and ongoing support for staff in the use of administration and learning management systems, in collaboration with the Leader of eLearning. Ensure staff are equipped to use BCE systems effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work in partnership with Heads of College, APs for each phase of learning, Head of IT, College Business Manager, and Program Leaders for eLearning and Daily Organisation to embed operational priorities in all aspects of college life.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives to improve administrative processes, system integration, and data-driven practices. Model and cultivate positive, respectful relationships that reflect the values of the college and Brisbane Catholic Education.

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Demonstrated experience in school administration, systems integration, and data management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to upholding the vision, values, and strategic direction of St Joseph’s College and Brisbane Catholic Education.
  • Experience in professional development delivery and supporting staff in system use.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).
