  • Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum  + super (Pro-rata) (commensurate with experience)
  • Status: Part-Time Fixed Term for the remainder of the 2026 school year

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Providing targeted early learning support for Prepto Year 3 students
  • Addressing the needs of a large Prep cohort with a high number of non-english speaking students
  • Supporting classroom teachers through collaborative intervention practices
  • Improving student engagement, learning outcomes and long-term educational trajectories
  • Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
  • Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
  • Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
  • Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
  • Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Be an expereinced classroom teacher
  • Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
  • Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students
  • A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
  • For this position you are required to be Catholic

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
