Key Responsibilities

 

Leadership and Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for learning and wellbeing.
  • Align with BCE frameworks and the College's vision and mission.
  • Promote the College's values of Joy, Courage, and Love.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to achieve goals.
 
Curriculum and Pedagogy:
  • Oversee a rigorous and inclusive curriculum.

  • Promote innovative teaching practices.

  • Integrate wellbeing programs within the curriculum.

 

Student Wellbeing:
  • Develop comprehensive wellbeing programs.

  • Foster a safe and supportive environment.

  • Lead policies promoting positive behavior and resilience.

 

Staff Development and Support:
  • Lead professional development initiatives.

  • Mentor and support teachers.

  • Promote a collaborative staff culture.

 

Community Engagement:
  • Build relationships with parents, caregivers, and the community.

  • Engage with external agencies to enhance wellbeing programs.

  • Represent the College in various forums.

 

Operational Management:
  • Manage resources related to learning and wellbeing.

  • Ensure compliance with policies and standards.

  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
  • For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).
