About our school 
St Anthony is a co-educational Catholic primary school with an enrolment of over 690 students, with 72 members of staff. Located in the inner northern Brisbane suburb of Kedron. Established in 1930, our Franciscan tradition rests on the charisms of St Francis, St Anthony and St Clare. St Anthony school enjoys a unique relationship with two Franciscan independent Catholic Colleges namely Padua College and Mt Alvernia College. Together the three schools work in partnership as an educational entity which is known in the local area as FOTH (Franciscans on the Hill).

Summary

Help enhance the smooth operation of the school with your ability to provide exceptional support across a variety of tasks. 

  • Location: St Anthonys School - Kedron
  • Start date: 21/01/2026
  • Work hours: 27.00 hours per week (Tues to Thurs - 3 days, 7.30am to 3.00pm +Friday - 8.30am to 3.00pm)
  • Salary level, range or hourly rate: $35.90 + super (School Salary Scale)
  • Status: Part Time Continuing

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matters
  • Developing and/or administering processes and procedures and responding to enquiries
  • Monitoring service delivery to identify efficiencies and ensure compliance with government and departmental legislation, directives, policies and standards
  • Facilitating work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Supervising and training support staff as required, ensuring high standards of administrative support.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
  • Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
  • Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
  • Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
  • Current First Aid Certificate including CPR
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Sway, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. (Skills include creating and formatting professional documents, managing data in Excel spreadsheets, publication of the fortnightly newsletter)
  • Previous experience working with the BCE applications - eMinerva, Parent Slips, Parent SMS is desirable
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
