Saint Mary's Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 College with an enrolment of over 280 students, offering families a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. The College has been proudly serving the families of the South Burnett region since 1990, following the amalgamation of the St Mary's Parish Primary and Secondary Schools. Provide strategic advice and manage administration, financial matters, and daily operations across the school library.

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:  

  • Overseeing the development, maintenance, and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommending improvements to processes and procedures 
  • Preparing and maintaining procurement activities including overseeing budget administration, and activities 
  • Reviewing, developing, and implementing processes and systems that enable effective management consistent with the school’s strategic and operational objectives 
  • Marketing and promoting library services, coordinating programs that are responsive to the school requirements and current trends 
  • Contributing to the school’s strategic and operational plans by reviewing legislation, regulations, initiatives, and policies and providing recommendations. 
     

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:  

  • You are either an experienced Teacher Librarian or Librarian with a love of learning
  • Expertise in overseeing system development, maintenance, and resource management, with a focus on process improvements 
  • Strong skills in procurement, budget administration, and finance 
  • Ability to review, develop, and implement processes aligning with school objectives 
  • Marketing and promotional skills to coordinate programs 
  • Knowledge of legislation, policies, and regulations, with the ability to provide strategic recommendations 
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic. 

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
