St Mary’s College is a Catholic Year 7 – 12 High School with over 130 years history of excellence in education in the historic town of Maryborough. The Program Leader advances the school's mission by managing academic, cultural, or outreach programs, ensuring processes align with school values and fostering community connections.

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Lead the designated program in the school.
- Supervise teachers engaged in the program throughout the school.
- Induct new teachers within the program (or supervise the induction where it is undertaken by another experienced teacher).
- Monitor program outcomes for students and address areas of concern through appropriate interventions.
- Coordinate the work of staff engaged in delivering the designated program in the light of the values and ethos of the school.
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders (students, parents, school staff and other personnel) to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
- Organise program activities including resources, transport, operations, staff, etc.
- Keep abreast of best practice in the program area through on-going professional reading and research, and providing for the professional learning of staff in line with these developments.
- Supervise the quality of staff within the Program through collegial support, advice, observation and facilitation of reflective response to issues.
- Contribute to the leadership of the school through active participation in staff and middle leadership meetings.
- Manage financial and material resources within the area of responsibility including the formulation of budgets and the expenditure of allocated funds.

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Eligibility to work within Australia for the period of appointment.
- Be a committed, practicing Catholic, or in an ecumenical school, a committed, practicing member of one of the faith traditions represented in that ecumenical school.
- Demonstrated leadership in school-based programs and support for staff professional development.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, staff, and stakeholders.
- Organisational expertise in managing logistics, resources, and budgets within program areas.
- Commitment to professional learning and implementation of best practices in education.
- Active contribution to school leadership and fostering a collaborative work environment.
