St Michael’s College is a co-educational Catholic College welcoming secondary student from Years 7 to 12. Summary
Ensure the safe and smooth flow of pedestrians and vehicles at our school crossings, directing traffic to keep our students safe.

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Assisting children with using our school crossing to safely cross the road
- Providing advice to pedestrians on safety rules pertaining to school crossings
- Carrying out duties within the parameters of workplace health and safety requirements
- Effectively managing events and exercising judgement when escalating issues
- Setting up and dismantling safety crossing zones as required.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Committed to maintaining a safety-first approach at all times
- Friendly, approachable, and always ready to help
- Ability to set up and take down equipment at crossing zones with ease
- Quick to learn and effectively communicate school crossing safety rules to others
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to deescalate situations and escalate concerns when necessary
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
