About the opportunity

The Administration Officer- Curriculum is responsible for providing administrative support to the College Leadership Team and Education Leaders:

  • Providing administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matters
  • Developing and/or administering processes and procedures and responding to enquiries
  • Monitoring service delivery to identify efficiencies and ensure compliance with government and departmental legislation, directives, policies and standards
  • Facilitating work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Supervising and training support staff as required, ensuring high standards of administrative support
  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the Leadership Team and Education Leaders with discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Manage day to day correspondence and preparation of letters, emails, reports, presentations and other material as required
  • Coordination of external exams including set up and associated paperwork
  • Assist with the coordination of NAPLAN
  • Awards and agenda preparations and distribution of follow ups
  • Liaise promptly and efficiently with external organisations as required
  • Willingness to undertake other duties as reasonably requested
  • Maintain a child safe culture at all times
  • Act to prevent harm and act in the best interests of our children
  • Report all cases of harm to the Principal or Child Protection Contacts

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
  • Coordinated tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
  • Advised on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
  • Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
  • Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring smooth onboarding and effective training
  • Confident working autonomously and in a team setting to produce quality outcomes
  • Clear sense of initiative and personal accountability
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution, and active listening
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload efficiently; proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Current Paid Employee Blue Card or willingness to obtain
  • Genuine interest in the School, students, and families within the School Community
  • Commitment to safeguarding children and promoting a culture of student protection
  • Commitment to and understanding of the purpose and mission of the Catholic Church and Catholic schools
  • Commitment to uphold BCE's Code of Conduct, values, policies, and procedures
  • Capacity to work in a team to support student wellbeing and follow specialist teaching staff directions
  • Catholic faith not required for this position

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement
  • Understanding of the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (NPCSO), including policies led by the National Office for Child Safety and the Commonwealth Child Safety Framework (childsafety.pmc.gov.au)
