Summary

Mt Maria College, Mitchelton is currently seeking a Senior School Admin Officer (Faith & Mission) to join their dynamic team. This position would suit a dedicated and energetic individual who is flexible and motivated to work with young people. The successful candidate will need to pivot between tasks and communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. A passion for nurturing the potential of young people and managing various personalities and backgrounds is essential.

  • Work hours: 30.40 hours per week
  • Salary level: School Officer Level 4 -  $36.98/hour + super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Assist the Assistant Principal Faith & Mission to plan, organise, and coordinate House Masses and liturgies.
  • Support the Assistant Principal Faith & Mission as directed to ensure high standard of support, including attending regular meetings.
  • Provide administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matters.
  • Organise and promote prayer, liturgy, and reflection events for staff, students, and parents.
  • Help organise retreats and lead formation activities after school and during lunch times.
  • Foster connections within and beyond the wider community.
  • Actively promote and engage in social justice awareness and fundraising for organisations such as SVDP, Caritas, Catholic Mission, Rosies, and ECM.
  • Assist with planning and facilitating fundraising events for non-profit charitable organisations.
  • Chaperone students to BCE and Marist formation events in Brisbane.
  • Coordinate events with North West Catholic Collective associate schools.
  • Empower students to use their gifts and talents in service of others through social justice initiatives.
  • Promote and encourage student participation in school and BCE Archdiocesan events.
  • Attend social justice initiatives outside of school hours as needed.
  • Participate in professional learning and spiritual formation activities, such as Campus Ministry days and Marist spirituality days.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • A strong commitment to fostering the growth of young people while navigating diverse personalities and backgrounds is essential.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using Word, Excel, and Canva, or have the capacity to learn these tools
  • Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
  • Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements.

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
