About the opportunity
As a Tuckshop Employee, your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks such as food preparation, serving customers with a smile, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Your role will be pivotal in creating a welcoming, healthy and efficient tuckshop experience for everyone at the college.
This part-time position offers flexible hours to accommodate your schedule, whether you are a parent, or someone looking to supplement your income. The role is term time only, working 39 weeks per year.
The specific hours are as follows:
- Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM (with a 30-minute break), totalling 6 hours each day;
- Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (with a 30-minute break), totalling 6.5 hours.
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with preparing orders and storing them in accordance with procedures and guidelines as directed
- Helping to maintain adequate stock levels to meet requirements, including the ordering, receiving, storing and stocktakes
- Assisting with the daily cleaning and clean-up of office and storage areas to ensure high standards of presentation and usability
- Ensuring stock is presentable and displayed appropriately
- Assisting with general administration and office duties relating to the retail space.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- A friendly and approachable manner
- Strong communication skills
- A keen eye for detail and cleanliness
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not essential
- Ability to help prepare and store orders according to procedures and guidelines
- Proficient in general administration and office duties
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
