  • Salary: School Officer Level 3 - $33.17 + super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity

In this hybrid position as a Library and IT assistant, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Providing a wide range of support to the classroom teacher or teacher librarian to effectively manage their availability, schedules, and appointments
  • Using various software applications to effectively process and maintain accurate records, draft, update, and format standard documents, and handle sensitive information with discretion under the direction of senior team members
  • Responding to enquiries ensuring accurate and relevant information is provided in a timely manner, resolving any concerns or issues that may arise, and recording relevant correspondence according to set processes and procedures
  • Assisting in the development, maintenance and operations of systems and databases recommending improvements as necessary within routine methods and procedures
  • Helping to establish and maintain filing and records management systems, including registers and databases.\
  • Providing technical advice regarding network computers, equipment, software applications and resources in developing learning programs
    Diagnosing and resolving ICT incidents and issues and contributing to the improvement of ICT services through the escalation of relevant incidents, requests and problems.
  • Contributing to the effective running and maintenance of the ICT network infrastructure and ICT initiatives and projects within the school
  • Assisting in the development, maintenance and operations of school ICT administrative systems and information databases recommending improvements to systems and processes
  • Experience in contributing to the development, maintenance, and improvement of ICT administrative systems and databases
  • Ability to assist others with technical advice on network systems, software, and resources for learning programs
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve ICT incidents, while improving services through escalation and issue resolution

     

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Strong organisational skills to manage schedules and appointments for teachers or teacher librarians
  • Proficiency in software applications for record-keeping, document drafting, and handling sensitive information
  • Effective communication skills to respond to inquiries and resolve issues promptly
  • Experience helping to develop, maintain, and improve systems and databases
  • Knowledge of filing and records management systems, including registers and databases
  • Certificate in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or related field (Beneficial)
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

 
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
