Summary

Play a vital role in delivering efficient and impactful administrative support, handling a diverse range of tasks to ensure the smooth and dynamic operation of the school.

  • Salary: $33 - $34 p/h + super (School Salary Scale)

About the opportunity

  • We seek a dynamic person for this position who can demonstrate competency involving the application of knowledge with depth in some areas and a broad range of skills in other areas. The desired applicant is required to be the face of the Student Administration Desk for parents, staff and students and therefore excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a team are a must.

  • The wellbeing of our students is paramount to this role, the ability to work at times in stressful situations is essential. Attention to detail is key, we are looking for a student-focused person who is capable of working with youths Year 7-12, some with special learning needs.

  • Highly developed written and spoken communication skills are desired with ability to respond to enquiries from staff, students, parents and the general public are a must.

  • The right person must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in a busy office environment. First Aid & CPR certification is a requirement of this role, should you not have this accreditation your ability to obtain this is required.

The role at times will call for support to the Deputy Principal and Assistant Principal’s in an administration capacity. Experience with this BCE school administration software would be an advantage, these being: eMinerva, Dynamics, ALLE, Web Self Service, Parent SMS & Parent-Slips.

Typical Duties / Skills required in this role are:
•    General Administration
•    Student Attendance / Reception
•    Telephone Enquiries
•    Teaching Administration Support
•    Student First Aid and Medication Administration
•    Bookings – College Tours and internal class/room bookings.

 

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Providing general administrative support
  • Diary management and the scheduling of activities and appointments at a senior level
  • Maintaining a variety of administrative systems
  • Being responsible for enquiries from a variety of stakeholders and supplying timely information in an engaging way
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
