About our school
St Ann’s School, Redbank Plains, is a Brisbane Catholic Education Primary School opened in January 2020. The school is located 35 minutes southwest of the Brisbane CBD between Ipswich and Springfield Lakes Commencing in 2020 with approximately 100 students from Prep to Year 3, it is anticipated the school will grow to over 500 students by 2025, with Prep to Year 6. St Ann's School, Redbank Plains, is nestled next to the Cashmere Road Reserve which provides an ideal educational setting.

Summary
Use your expertise to advise on and manage the school’s risk and compliance systems to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommending improvements to processes and procedures.
- Developing and interpreting legislation, regulations, procedures and other guideline material relating to operations within the school.
- Delivering and advising staff, students, and the school community on policy updates and publishing via appropriate channels.
- Facilitating the completion and report on risk and compliance tasks through the appropriate avenues
- Advising and facilitating the conduct of risk assessments by responsible staff members for school events.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Expertise in developing, maintaining, and improving operational systems and processes.
- Strong understanding of legislation, regulations, and guidelines to interpret and apply within a school setting.
- Ability to communicate policy updates clearly to a wide variety of groups and stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and reporting on risk and compliance tasks effectively.
- Skilled in advising and facilitating risk assessments for events.
- Tertiary qualification at Associate Diploma/Diploma in a related field
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
