Summary
The Senior Science Laboratory Assistant at Sienna Catholic College, is required to assist the Academic Leader- Science, Environment and Engineering in managing the Science facilities across the College.
Provide effective and efficient services across the Science Department, developing and overseeing a variety of tasks while offering advice, training, and support.

- Salary: School Officer Level 4 - $36.98/ hr + super
- Status: Term Time Continuing | School holidays are unpaid

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Developing and/or administering processes and procedures, and responding to enquires across the Science Department
- Reviewing and developing local systems and providing recommendations for enhancement
- Preparing and maintaining science practicums/experiments consistent with the science curriculum
- Monitoring resources within the Science Department, including the maintenance/storage of equipment, cleaning and disposal and WHS obligations
- Supervising and training support staff as required.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Process and procedure development and administration
- System review and enhancement, identifying areas for improvement
- Proficiency in preparing and maintaining science experiments and practicals that align with the curriculum, ensuring safe and effective learning environments
- Resource management and WHS compliance
- Staff supervision and training
- Certificate in science or related field
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
