Clairvaux MacKillop College is a secondary co-educational College administered by Brisbane Catholic Education with an enrolment of 1300 students. The College mission is to work actively as an inclusive, Catholic learning community.

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative and operational support and advice on a diverse range of matters
  • Developing and/or administering processes and procedures and responding to enquiries
  • Monitoring service delivery to identify efficiencies and ensure compliance with government and departmental legislation, directives, policies and standards
  • Facilitating work to meet deadlines and commitments and to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Supervising and training support staff as required, ensuring high standards of administrative support 

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Having provided a wide variety of administrative and operational support
  • Coordinating tasks to meet deadlines and commitments, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery 
  • Advising on administrative tasks and processes, driving process improvements
  • Understanding of compliance within a school and delivering on relevant legislation, policy and procedures
  • Led and supported administrative staff, ensuring their smooth onboarding and providing effective training for optimal performance
  • Good communication and high-level interpersonal skills - being able to relate harmoniously to others in the work environment and deal courteously with staff members, parents, students and visitors to the College
  • Ability to use discretion and judgement for self and/or others in planning, work organization, services, actions and achieving outcomes within time constraints
  • Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs and ability to adapt to varied IT programs
  • Proven ability to use Initiative to resolve situations and improve processes
  • Previous experience either within the administrative team or learning enhancement team within an educational environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team under supervision, as well as working independently with limited supervision
  • Previous enrolments experience and experience working with eMinerva in a college would be advantageous.
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
