Nestled in the heart of Victoria Point, St Rita’s Primary School proudly serves approximately 435 students. - Salary: School Officer Level 3 - 34.17/hour + super (School Salary Scale)
- Status: Term Time | Permanent
- This position will be a 50/50 split as a Classroom Support School Officer & the Assistant Sports Coach of St Rita's Soccer/football academy!

About the opportunity
As a School Officer, Classroom Support, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities
- Monitoring the progress of students and identifing learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
- Improving student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborating with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services
- Documenting observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
As the Assistant Sports Coach you will be responsible for
- Assisting with equipment and the preperations for, and conducting of, training sessions and/or sporting events
- Monitor the progress of students, including students with learning disabilities
- Ensure the condition of resources and materials are clean and safe to use and arrange the repair or replacement for any damaged item
- Collaborate with school specialists in organising and assisting with indidivual or group sessions
- Supervise small groups and/or individual students in their chosen sport, including utlising some discretion and judgement of chosen actions to achieve outcome
- Coach on rules, tactics and expectations within the sport
- Encourage camraderie and sportsmanship amongst players
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Strong skills in planning, preparing, and delivering effective teaching programs
- Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
- Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
- Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
- Proficient in documenting observations, managing intervention programs, and preparing classroom materials
- Certificate III in Education Support
- For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement.
