About our team
The Office Services team is responsible for the provision of a suite of services including venues, building security, travel management, fleet, telephony and mobile technology systems, records management, reception, receipt and despatch and BCE insurance provision.
Summary
Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a professional and welcoming Administration Assistant – Reception to be the first point of contact for visitors and staff at our Woolloongabba office. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality customer service while providing administrative support that enables the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the office. You will contribute to a positive first impression of BCE by ensuring enquiries are handled efficiently, respectfully and with attention to detail.

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, employees and external stakeholders, providing a professional and welcoming reception service
- Manage incoming calls and enquiries using telephony systems, directing requests efficiently and accurately
- Deliver high‑quality customer service by responding promptly to enquiries and providing clear, helpful information
- Provide administrative support to the Office Services team, including data entry, invoice processing and general office tasks
- Apply established processes and procedures to resolve enquiries and support continuous improvement of work practices
- Maintain reception security requirements, including visitor management systems and contractor access cards
- Manage hand‑delivered and confidential items with discretion and professionalism
- Support office operations through tasks such as fleet vehicle bookings, transport coordination and system updates
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Demonstrated experience in a reception, administration or customer service role
- Being adaptable, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage tasks efficiently
- Working collaboratively with different stakeholders at different levels.
- Following policy and procedures to resolve minor challenges and issues
- Previous experience or a relevant qualification in business administration will be well regarded
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement
