The Safeguarding Team at BCE champions a culture of protection for students and adults by embedding safeguarding practices into all operations and policies in line with the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards. By collaborating with schools, parents, and students, they establish frameworks, guidelines, and standards that ensure BCE schools remain a safe environment for all.
Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Services Officer to support the Safeguarding team. This role plays a key part in delivering safeguarding programs and services, ensuring consistency, quality, and integrity in administrative processes. You’ll contribute to a culture of safety and wellbeing for children and adults at risk, supporting compliance with national safeguarding standards and helping the team operate efficiently and effectively.

- Salary: $80,318 - $90,762 plus super
- Status: Fixed term | Maternity Leave Contract | August 2025 - July 2026

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Provide high-level administrative support across safeguarding programs and projects.
- Manage team calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel, and handle correspondence.
- Format and process documents across various platforms and maintain accurate records and databases in line with BCE policies.
- Organise meetings and events, including venue booking, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
- Act as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries.
- Support content updates for internal and external web pages.
- Provide direct support to the Safeguarding Specialist and Advisor.
- Prioritise tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Experience supporting senior managers in a confidential administrative capacity.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about safeguarding and legal compliance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement.
- Initiative, discretion, and a collaborative working style.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Certificate-level qualifications in business administration or equivalent experience.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Positive Notice Blue Card for working with Children.
