About our team
The Office Services team is responsible for the provision of a suite of services including venues, building security, travel management, fleet, telephony and mobile technology systems, records management, reception, receipt and despatch and BCE insurance provision.
Summary
Join Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) as the Advisor – Records Management, where you will lead and enhance enterprise‑wide records governance to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and long‑term preservation of critical organisational information. This senior advisory role partners closely with leaders, schools, and specialist stakeholders to solve complex information‑governance challenges, strengthen compliance, streamline processes, and uplift organisational capability in records management. You will play a key role in shaping how information is managed across the organisation, ensuring it supports both operational needs and long‑term strategic priorities.

- Salary: $122,215 - $135,119 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Design, govern, and optimise BCE’s records management frameworks, systems, and practices
- Provide high‑level subject matter expertise on complex records and information governance matters
- Lead the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, and processes that support compliant and efficient records management across BCE
- Conduct detailed research, analysis, and problem‑solving to inform decisions and improve operational approaches
- Identify gaps, analyse data, and recommend system and workflow improvements to enhance performance and efficiency
- Collaborate with legal, leadership teams, and schools to clarify requirements and co‑design solutions
- Provide direction to staff, oversee quality of work, and manage day‑to‑day operations of the Records Management team
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Providing advice on complex technical, commercial, operational, and administrative management practices
- Ability to manage competing priorities while overseeing operational delivery and supporting team performance
- Stakeholder engagement for cross-collaboration.
- Analytical mindset, using data and information to identify areas for improving operational practices
- Strong ability to interpret legislation, policy, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrates a proactive mindset, consistently seeking opportunities for continuous improvement
- Leading and fostering a high performing team
- Experience in records management, information governance, or a related technical discipline (tertiary qualifications highly regarded)
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Positive Notice Blue Card for working with Children
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence, with ability to travel to schools when required
