Summary

We are seeking a talented and strategic Communications Advisor to join our Communications, Brand and Design team and play a key role in delivering impactful, system-wide communication strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the reputation and success of BCE by designing and delivering high-quality communications that support our strategic priorities and engage diverse audiences including schools, leaders, staff, families and the broader community.  You will partner with senior stakeholders across BCE to provide expert advice, manage complex communication needs, and develop compelling content across multiple channels.

  • Salary: $122,215 - $135,119 plus super

About the opportunity

 

In this position you will be responsible for: 

  • Lead the development and delivery of strategic communication initiatives aligned to BCE priorities
  • Provide expert advice on complex communication, media and reputational matters
  • Develop high-quality content including speeches, media releases, social media, video and executive communications
  • Partner with principals and leaders to deliver fit-for-purpose communications that support engagement and outcomes
  • Support media engagement, issues management and proactive storytelling opportunities
  • Monitor stakeholder trends, risks and issues, providing timely insights and recommendations
  • Contribute to crisis and critical incident communications when required
  • Identify new opportunities and channels to strengthen BCE’s communication impact and reach
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of communication practices, processes and capability across the organisation

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:   

  • Experience developing and delivering communication strategies in complex organisations
  • Strong writing and content development skills across multiple platforms
  • The ability to provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing issues, risks and media enquiries
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in communications practice
  • Relevant qualifications in communications, journalism or a related field

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements: 

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment 
  • Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.  
  • QLD Drivers Licence
