Enablement and Governance Lead

Summary

As the Enablement and Governance Lead, you will shape the frameworks, systems, insights and capability initiatives that support effective procurement and contracting across Brisbane Catholic Education. This influential leadership role will oversee procurement policy, compliance, analytics and the ongoing systems roadmap, ensuring governance requirements are translated into practical and consistent ways of working. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement maturity, improve the user experience and support informed decision-making across schools and business areas. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders, you will build organisational capability through clear guidance, practical tools, training and trusted advice.

• Salary: $155,351 - $172,607 plus 12.75% super

About the opportunity

In this position you will:  

• Lead the procurement enablement and governance strategy, including policy, compliance, assurance, systems and analytics
• Develop and oversee practical governance frameworks, controls and guidance that support transparent, accountable and compliant procurement
• Establish procurement reporting and performance frameworks that provide accurate data and actionable insights
• Lead and develop high-performing teams to deliver agreed priorities, service outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives
• Translate complex governance and compliance requirements into practical resources, training and tools for schools and business areas
• Provide strategic commercial and governance advice to executive leaders, senior stakeholders and governance committees
• Drive transformation initiatives that improve procurement maturity, operational efficiency, service delivery and user experience
• Collaborate across procurement functions and the broader organisation to support an integrated procurement and contract lifecycle

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:    

• Strong experience in procurement governance, policy, compliance, assurance or a comparable commercial environment
• Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience supporting teams to achieve strategic and operational outcomes
• The ability to interpret complex governance requirements and turn them into clear, practical and user-friendly solutions
• Strong analytical capability and confidence using reporting and insights to support evidence-based decisions
• Experience leading transformation, systems enhancement or continuous improvement initiatives
• Highly developed consultation, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organisational levels
• A collaborative and service-focused approach, supported by sound judgement, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Tertiary qualifications in procurement, commerce, business, law or equivalent experience

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment  
• Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement
