Summary

Join our project team driving the Supplier Onboarding/Offboarding and Buying Platform Uplift initiative—a key program designed to enhance the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle through smarter systems integration (Unimarket and D365) and streamlined business processes. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how procurement and finance collaborate to deliver value. 

As the Project’s finance lead, you’ll bring financial insight and operational expertise to improve procurement workflows, embed best practices, and support service delivery enhancements. While this is not a whole-of-organisation finance transformation, it’s a high-impact role with visibility across senior stakeholders and the chance to influence how we create a more efficient, contemporary procurement experience.

  • Work hours: 38 hours per week | Flexible working arrangements available
  • Salary:  $155,351 - $172,606 plus super (commensurate with experience)

About the opportunity

In this position you will:  

  • Lead and deliver strategic objectives affecting the organisational direction and goals, while providing expert advice to enhance operational efficiencies
  • Offer specialist guidance to improve organisational effectiveness, contributing to the development and refinement of policies and procedures that ensure consistency and compliance across BCE environments
  • Conduct high-level analysis of strategic priorities, producing insights and reports that support decision-making, policy formation, and process optimisation
  • Manage the implementation of approved procurement platforms, ensuring smooth transitions, stakeholder buy-in, and alignment with BCE’s operational objectives
  • Document and manage business process change, including impact assessment and change readiness activities
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, staff training and efforts to embed new processes into daily operations
  • Develop, implement and review strategic processes and procedures including risk planning, contingency and change management to deliver outcomes
  • Consult, collaborate with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Facilitate training and change enablement activities to ensure new systems and processes are understood, adopted, and embedded into everyday practices

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:  

  • Undertaking the development and review of strategic processes. 
  • Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and attainment. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make insightful, data-driven decisions.
  • Identifying function area needs for now and the future. 
  • Proven experience in strategic financial leadership and process improvement.
  • Stakeholder engagement across an organisation at a Senior level. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field would be highly desired
  • Membership or eligibility for professional membership of CA/CPA or equivalent is mandatory. 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.
