About our team
The People Systems Team provide systems support and HR services at BCE. The People Systems Team manages post-employment offer support, such as contracts and are involved in the implementation of Ignite, a world-class Human Resources Information System (HRIS) designed to support safeguarding, performance, and engagement, and streamline ways of working across the employee lifecycle.
Summary
As a HR Services Support Officer, you will undertake a range of activities and tasks to support the Brisbane Catholic Education Office. You will bring a passion for provide exceptional support across the team. Prepare and review employment contracts, maintain workforce data integrity, and provide onboarding support while ensuring continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration.

- Work hours: Full-time | Flexible working arrangements available
- Salary: $77,978 - $88,119 plus super
- Status: Fixed Term 12mths (maternity leave replacement)

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and review employment contracts and contract variations, ensuring accuracy and accompanying documentation.
- Create and maintain the integrity of workforce data, including employee personal information and contracts, to assist with people-related reporting and analytics.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees, providing advice on onboarding/offboarding and People and Culture policies.
- Collaborate with People System & Analytics team members to ensure efficient and accurate onboarding administration and reporting
- Enhancing practices and processes for continuous improvement.
- Prioritising workload and tasks, and resolving issues as required.
- Drafting responses to enquiries and providing information in relation to procedures, guidelines, and legislation.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to address needs and respond to requests.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Having a strong attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to adherence to policies and procedures.
- Experience in a similar position and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and tasks, undertaking initial investigations, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills to respond to enquiries.
- Working closely with a senior staff to provide administrative assistance.
- Tertiary qualification in business administration, human resource management, or a related discipline is desirable.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.
