About the Team 

As the Head of IT Customer Solutions you will oversee and be accountable for teams that deliver front-facing educational products and services to schools, engagement teams for our corporate systems (HR, finance etc) working collaboratively with our development and security teams, and lead our projects that continue to drive innovation and enhance our capabilities to support schools, staff, students and parents.

You will work alongside our Head of IT Platforms and Services, as well as our BCE senior Leadership team who are accountable for all services and products delivered to our schools, including corporate services, people and culture, education, catholic formation and engagement, strategy, legal, compliance and other areas.

Summary

Lead the digital transformation of Catholic education across the Archdiocese of Brisbane. As the Head of IT Customer Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and embedding BCE’s Digital Strategy across our 146 schools and central office. The Head of IT Customer Solutions is responsible for maximising the benefits of information system deployments, change activities, ICT initiatives and innovations. The position drives cultural transformation and workforce improvements through adoption of future-focussed services, fostering new skills, and enhancing capabilities to deliver high-quality digital products and services. This senior position offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation, foster strategic partnerships, and uplift digital capabilities at scale. You will lead a high-performing team within the Information Technology function, championing agile methodologies and cultivating a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Salary: $275,090 - total package including super and access to a motor vehicle

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for: 

  • As a key member of the Information Technology Leadership Team, ensure system alignment and effectiveness, and fostering a high-performing team.
  • Provide expert, strategic advice to the Information Technology Executive on emerging needs, opportunities, and future strategies at both enterprise and school levels.
  • Lead the delivery of innovative digital technology strategies that inform investment prioritisation and support complex business systems, learning solutions, and user support services.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with stakeholders and service providers and enhance the business value of IT services and products.
  • Deliver integrated systems and support mechanisms that ensure operational continuity and align with evolving customer needs.
  • Lead the IT Customer Solutions function to build high-performing teams capable of delivering on BCE’s vision, mission, and strategy.
  • Manage financial performance and governance of the IT budget, ensuring clear scope, outcomes, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory obligations through strong management systems and a culture of accountability and ownership.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across diverse teams.
  • Strategic thinking and financial acumen to manage budgets, optimise resources, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • A commitment to compliance, governance, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
