About our team
The Strategy and Sustainability Team drives BCE’s strategy by developing and guiding transformational programs that positively impact learning, performance, and wellbeing in schools, as well as business resilience in the organization. As part of the Office of the Chief Operating Officer, the team provides expert advice and consultancy in strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting, innovative change, market research and analysis, problem solving, scenario planning, and future planning and growth.
Summary
Join Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) as the Head of Strategy and Operations, where you will lead strategic initiatives that foster innovation, build strategic partnerships, and drive system-wide growth and operational excellence at scale across our 146 schools. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.
- Location: BCE Office - Woolloongabba
- Work hours: Full-time, flexible working arrangements available
- Salary: $275,000 to $314,000 total package including super and access to a motor vehicle
- Status: Permanent (continuing)
About the opportunity
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Providing system-wide strategic direction, planning, and operational oversight to ensure alignment with BCE’s vision, mission and values.
- Leading the design and delivery of strategic initiatives that foster innovation, build strategic partnership and enhance operational excellence.
- Enhancing system-wide transformation efforts to drive effectiveness and sustainable growth.
- Overseeing organisational planning and performance monitoring to ensure accountability, alignment and continuous improvement.
- Fostering cross functional collaboration and aligning initiatives to deliver shared strategic outcomes.
About you
To be successful in this position, you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Proven experience in strategic leadership, planning and operational oversight, with a focus on delivery and execution.
- Experience in developing and implementing innovative, system-wide solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence without authority to engage with stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in leading change management initiatives to support the implementation of strategic plans and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's Degree highly desirable).
