Summary
Ignite a passion for learning in our students, while embodying the values, mission, and principles of Catholic Education! Spearhead the coordination, execution, and implementation of key organisation-wide projects. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Project Management Office (PMO) to lead the coordination, delivery, and implementation of strategic projects across BCE. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects align with BCE’s frameworks, policies, and statutory requirements, while driving value and efficiency across our portfolio. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to influence decision-making, manage interdependencies, and deliver outcomes that support our schools and communities.

About the opportunity
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the establishment of BCE’s enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO).
- Manage and support the delivery and implementation of BCE-wide projects in accordance with approved frameworks, policies, industry best practices and compliance with statutory requirements, and according to BCE’s vision, mission and values.
- Liaise with stakeholders to support PMO governance, reporting, and review, providing a comprehensive view of all strategic and major project activities.
- Develop and implement contemporary project management approaches, focusing on continuous stakeholder collaboration and improvement.
- Lead project prioritisation, budget approval, benefits realisation, procurement processes, and financial monitoring to ensure effective portfolio management.
- Provide leadership in long-term planning, developing strategic processes, procedures, and resources to achieve organisational objectives.
- Ensure best practice initiatives are used to improve outcomes for current and future projects.
- Provide subject matter expertise, information, and advice to guide and support the Executive and Leadership Teams.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Proven experience in establishing ePMOs.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategy.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and resolve complex issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders and present complex information clearly.
- Leading teams, managing projects, and overseeing operations, in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams or departments and positively influence outcomes.
- Being a member of a Senior Leadership Team and providing subject matter expertise to Executive level.
- Relevant tertiary education in business or project management and/or extensive experience in a relevant discipline.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.
