Summary

 

Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking four Project Leads – Curriculum Design and Development (Secondary Science, English, Mathematics and Health & Physical Education) to lead high-impact curriculum work across the system. Each role will lead a defined stream within a major system-wide initiative, driving the design and delivery of practical, evidence-informed curriculum resources that support teachers and strengthen student learning within their respective learning area. Working closely with a team of education specialists and key stakeholders, you will bring clarity and direction to complex work, ensuring outputs are aligned to system priorities, curriculum requirements and school needs while contributing to meaningful, long-term educational improvement.

  • Status: Fixed Term | July 2026 – January 2026 (with intentions to extend) | 4 positions available
  • Salary: $155,351 - $172,606 plus super

About the opportunity

 

In this position you will:  

  • Lead and deliver a defined stream of work within the Curriculum Design and Development project, establishing priorities, timelines and effective ways of working to achieve high-quality outcomes
  • Manage and support Senior Education Advisors and contributors, providing clear direction, coaching and oversight to ensure strong performance and delivery
  • Develop high-quality, system-level curriculum planning resources that are aligned to the Australian Curriculum and support teacher capability and student learning
  • Ensure all project outputs are practical, coherent and fit for purpose through structured review, refinement and quality assurance processes
  • Monitor progress against agreed timelines and deliverables, proactively managing risks, resolving issues and escalating where required
  • Use data, evidence and system priorities to inform decisions, shape project activity and respond to complex teaching and learning challenges
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver aligned strategies, resources and processes that support system improvement

About you

 

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:    

  • Demonstrated experience leading curriculum design or large-scale education initiatives, with the ability to drive outcomes in complex environments
  • Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and the ability to apply it to create practical, high-quality resources for schools
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and influence education professionals, fostering collaboration, clarity and accountability
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience using data and evidence to inform decisions and shape work
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence and collaborate across teams and levels
  • Well-developed strategic and operational skills, including managing timelines, risks, competing priorities and delivery expectations
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, with postgraduate study or equivalent experience highly regarded, and current QCT registration

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment  
  • Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
