About our team
The Office Services team is responsible for the provision of a suite of services including venues, building security, travel management, fleet, telephony and mobile technology systems, records management, reception, receipt and despatch and BCE insurance provision.
Summary
Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Records Assistant to support our Records Management team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll play an important part in the collation, cataloguing and preparation of organisational records for transfer to off‑site storage. - Salary: $69,681 - $78,745 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Collate, catalogue and prepare physical records for off‑site storage
- Provide general administrative support to the team across a variety of tasks
- Maintain accurate records, including data entry into systems, spreadsheets and databases
- Prepare documents and generate reports as required
- Apply established processes and guidelines to resolve enquiries
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide information and respond to queries
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve day‑to‑day issues as they arise
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Being adaptable, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative and recordkeeping tasks
- Confidence working with systems, spreadsheets and data entry
- Ability to lift potentially heavy archive boxes (15kg+)
- Working collaboratively with different stakeholders at different levels
- Following policy and procedures to resolve minor challenges and issues
- Prior experience in records, administration or a school‑based support role (highly regarded but not essential)
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel if require
