About our team
The Learning, Teaching and Curriculum team plays a pivotal role in advancing educational excellence within Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE). The team leverages data and research-informed insights to provide policy and guiding direction to support schools in nurturing student learning and wellbeing. Through advice, resourcing, and professional learning, the team enables schools to engage in action and agency towards excellence and equity for all learners, whilst maintaining legislative and system learning and teaching requirements.
Summary
As the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing Vocational Education and Training (VET) in schools, ensuring compliance with Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. This role is instrumental in enhancing learner outcomes and driving program growth and quality within our secondary schools.

- Salary: $155,351 - $172,606 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Lead school-based RTO managers in delivering strategic objectives and providing expert advice to enhance organisational efficiency and outcomes
- Develop, implement, and review strategic processes and procedures—including risk planning, contingency, and change management—to achieve organisational goals
- Undertake advanced analysis and provide data-driven insights to support direction, policy, and effective processes
- Ensure technical solutions and program delivery meet government and industry standards (Australian VET system, National Skills Framework, AQF, VQF)
- Optimise long-term organisational and service delivery outcomes for stakeholders by effectively managing resources, setting expectations, and creating frameworks
- Provide specialist advice, technical leadership, and best practice development, while consulting, collaborating, and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders
- Plan workforce needs and future requirements for schools, and lead professional development programs for all RTO employees
- Oversee financial allocation and optimise the revenue earning potential of the RTO
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Undertaking the development and review of strategic processes
- Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and attainment
- Prior experience coordinating VET programs within an RTO environment
- Identifying function area needs for now and the future
- Stakeholder engagement across an organisation at a Senior level
- Collaborating with teams across different function areas
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or previous experience in a similar position (highly regarded but not essential)
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Positive Notice Blue Card for working with Children.
