Summary

As the Senior Advisor – Contract Performance & Supplier Partnering, you will play a key role in strengthening contract management and supplier partnering practices across Brisbane Catholic Education. You will implement and embed frameworks that support strong supplier performance, effective governance, service quality, compliance and risk management. Working across schools, business units and centrally managed procurement categories, you will provide specialist advice and practical support throughout the post-award contract lifecycle. This is an opportunity to influence organisation-wide practices, develop trusted supplier partnerships and deliver improvements that maximise value and service outcomes.

About the opportunity

In this position you will:   

  • Implement and embed contract management, supplier performance, supplier relationship management and contract governance frameworks across BCE, including associated tools and reporting arrangements
  • Provide advanced advice and practical support to contract owners, schools and business units across contract mobilisation, administration, supplier performance and contractual obligations
  • Develop and oversee performance management arrangements, including management plans, service levels, KPIs, review frameworks and benefits realisation measures
  • Manage supplier underperformance, variations, remediation, disputes, renewals, transitions and other complex operational matters
  • Analyse and report on contract, supplier, service, risk and spend information to identify emerging risks, value opportunities and improvement priorities
  • Build collaborative supplier partnerships that promote accountability, innovation and alignment with BCE’s objectives and service requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop practical resources that strengthen contract management capability, processes and stakeholder outcomes
  • Prepare governance papers, reports and strategic briefings, while collaborating across Procurement and Contracting to support integrated supplier due diligence, compliance, risk and post-award management practices

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:   

  • Strong experience in contract performance, supplier relationship management, procurement or a related commercial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical advice on complex contractual, supplier performance and operational matters
  • Sound commercial judgement with the ability to assess risk, interpret performance information and recommend effective solutions
  • Confidence developing and monitoring service levels, KPIs, performance plans and supplier improvement initiatives
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse business areas
  • Experience leading continuous improvement and supporting the adoption of new processes, frameworks or ways of working
  • Strong analytical, reporting and written communication skills, including the preparation of governance and executive-level materials
  • A tertiary qualification in procurement, commerce, business, law, public administration or a related discipline is desirable, with postgraduate study or professional membership highly regarded

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement
