The Digital Platforms team is responsible for BCE’s Foundational Technology, Security Operations, Service Operations and School Technology within Information and Technology. The team ensures that the networks and supporting technologies for employees, schools, and students are secure, accessible, effective, and well-managed. Summary
As Senior Advisor (Senior ICT Officer), Identity & Access Management, you will lead the management of enterprise identity solutions. This role is pivotal in migrating core identity and access services to Microsoft Entra ID, modernising authentication and authorisation across hybrid environments. You’ll drive the transition from legacy platforms (such as Microsoft Identity Manager, ADFS and Exchange Administration), architect secure and scalable IAM frameworks, and deliver operational excellence through automation, system reliability, and robust documentation. Your expertise will ensure seamless, secure access for all users, supporting both business and compliance requirements.

- Salary: $137,560 - $152,836 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Administer enterprise IAM architectures and controls, with a primary focus on migrating identities and access services to Entra ID
- Plan and execute decommission/migration from Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and ADFS to Entra ID, ensuring continuity, security, and improved user experience
- Analyse, design, configure, and deploy new technologies; advise ITS leadership on tools, patterns, and trade‑offs; and resolve complex issues in production
- Operate and optimise data‑centre and cloud platforms supporting IAM (configuration, monitoring, performance), aligned to BCE service standards
- Harden reliability through system backups, documentation, validation of restores, and current disaster recovery plans
- Produce technical papers and reports—from insights and metrics to recommendations—informing policy and strategic decisions
- Partner with schools and leadership to build platforms that balance strong security with usability and operational supportability
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange environments (on-premises and cloud), including mailbox provisioning, hybrid configuration, security hardening, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable messaging services.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Leading a variety of projects to meet operational outcomes.
- Analytical in your approach to problem solving.
- Strength in architecture, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting complex identity services across hybrid environments
- Conducted high level reviews and investigations linked to organisational performance.
- Written specialised reports and committee papers on projects you have led.
- Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams in your area of specialty.
- Tertiary IT qualifications and/or substantial experience in a similar senior IAM role
- Hands‑on expertise with MIM and proven experience transitioning services to Entra ID (industry certifications across Entra highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft Exchange environments (on-premises and cloud), including mailbox management, hybrid configuration, and security hardening

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
