About our team
Our Financial Performance and Innovation Team leads all facets of financial performance and planning at an enterprise level. The team is dedicated to driving sustainable financial performance and effective decision making through the provision of timely and relevant insights, robust tools and frameworks and a commitment to collaborative partnering across the Business. Additionally, the team will seek to work with the rest of the Finance functions, and BCE Functions, to drive improvements across its systems and processes to deliver an easy and contemporary experience for Finance teams and its customers.
Summary
Leverage your expertise in strategy and collaboration across Brisbane Catholic Education, driving enhancements in operational efficiency as a Senior Analyst. You will be an integral part of the ongoing change and evolution that finance is undertaking to further add value and sophistication to performance reporting, planning, analysis and insights.

- Salary: $150,827 - $167,579 + super
- Status: Permanent (continuing)
About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Advise BCEO Managers on operating unit and project budgets and forecasts.
- Lead the development of cutting-edge financial reporting systems at all BCE levels, including ad hoc reports tailored to business needs.
- Maintain consolidated management accounts for BCEO and schools, providing insightful financial variance analysis and strategic commentary.
- Assess and refine resourcing models, delivering actionable advice and recommendations.
- Enhance management financial information and reporting systems to drive BCE’s financial performance.
- Develop sophisticated financial models, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and high-impact reports and dashboards.
- Deliver actionable financial and business data analytics to support evidence-based strategic decision-making.
- Support the development of a strong and positive culture within the team that drives high performance, open and respectful collaboration with office and school colleagues to deliver high-quality service and effective teamwork.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Undertaking the development and review of strategic processes.
- Ability to quickly forge strong internal relationships, foster robust discussions around process improvements to increase capability
- Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and attainment.
- Identifying function area needs for now and the future.
- Adaptability to change and proven experience in a complex organisation
- Advanced Excel to Macro/ Power Query level
- Tertiary qualifications (preferably at post graduate level) in finance, accounting, commerce, business management or a relevant field in a related field and/or previous experience in a similar position would be highly regarded but not essential
- Membership or eligibility for professional membership of CA/CPA or equivalent is mandatory.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.
