About our team
Our School Performance Cluster Partner Team collaborates within and across BCE to provide specialised, multi-disciplinary support to schools. Our goal is to enhance student learning outcomes through informed decisions and sustainable processes. We offer differentiated support and advice in learning and pedagogy, literacy, numeracy, technologies, inclusive education, engagement, and student wellbeing, with focus on compliance, improvement, and excellence in each school context.
Summary
This is an on-the-ground role where you will be out in BCE schools, actively supporting staff and making a real difference in student engagement, wellbeing, and learning outcomes. As the Senior Education Advisor – Coaching and Engagement, you will be a catalyst for organisational change, driving process improvements and building capability across schools and colleges. You’ll work directly with school teams and leaders, providing expert coaching, strategic advice, and targeted interventions. Your work will foster inclusive environments, support continuous improvement, and deliver sustainable change through evidence-informed practices.

- Salary: $137,560 - $152,836 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Advise, coach, and empower school teams, leaders, and multidisciplinary groups using a strength-based approach and the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, including Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) and Levels of Teaching Response.
- Identify, create, and implement targeted interventions and strategic support to enhance student engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing, fostering safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
- Analyse school-centric data within an MTSS framework to challenge perspectives, make recommendations on complex issues, and determine organisational and operational actions as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and deliver strategies, training, and instructional coaching to build capability and improve organisational performance across classrooms, schools, and business areas.
- Prepare specialised, technical, and innovative responses to support schools in providing engaging learning environments for all students.
- Establish, build, and maintain internal and external relationships to share professional knowledge, expertise, and deliver on business outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with school-based role holders and leadership teams to implement multi-tiered systems of support and drive continuous improvement in student engagement, learning, and wellbeing.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Proven ability to develop strategies and provide sound advice to improve organisational performance
- Analytical in your approach to problem solving
- Conducted high level reviews and investigations linked to organisational performance
- Written specialised reports and committee papers on projects you have led
- Ability to provide strategic advice, coaching, and training to influence organisational practices and outcomes
- Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams in your area of specialty
- Minimum 5 years classroom experience
- Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, pedagogy, curriculum, inclusive education, student wellbeing, student behaviour support, or a similar relevant field (preferred)
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
