Summary

 

We are seeking four Senior Education Advisors – Curriculum Design and Development Project, each aligned to a specialist Secondary subject area (HPE, Mathematics, English or Science). This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping system-wide curriculum resources, contributing to high-quality, consistent teaching and learning across Brisbane Catholic Education. Working alongside project leads, you will bring your curriculum expertise to influence practice, build teacher capability and improve student outcomes through evidence-informed approaches and collaborative delivery.

  • Work hours: Fulltime | Flexible working arrangements available
  • Status: Fixed Term | July 2026 – January 2026 (with intentions to extend) | 4 positions available
  • Salary: $137,506 - $152,836 plus super

About the opportunity

In this position you will:   

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of system-level curriculum resources aligned to the Australian Curriculum and BCE priorities
  • Work closely with project leads and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality curriculum initiatives and outcomes
  • Analyse student, school and system-level data to identify priority areas and inform practical, evidence-based recommendations
  • Support initiatives that enhance student engagement, progress, achievement and wellbeing across a system context
  • Develop and deliver professional learning, as well as contribute to reviews and investigations that support continuous improvement
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and supporting timely resolution of issues
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes and the ongoing refinement of curriculum resources to ensure relevance and impact
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across schools and stakeholders to share expertise and support successful project delivery  

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:    

  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, with strong working knowledge of the Australian Curriculum
  • Experience in curriculum leadership or similar roles, with the ability to influence teaching and learning practices
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical, actionable recommendations
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary environment 
  • Confidence delivering professional learning and supporting educators to build capability and improve practice
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across a system context
  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, with current or eligible QCT registration 

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment. 
  • Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
