About our team 
Our School Performance Cluster Partner Team collaborates within and across BCE to provide specialised, multi-disciplinary support to schools. Our goal is to enhance student learning outcomes through informed decisions and sustainable processes. We offer differentiated support and advice in learning and pedagogy, literacy, numeracy, technologies, inclusive education, engagement, and student wellbeing, with focus on compliance, improvement, and excellence in each school context. 

Summary

 

Showcase your ability as the Senior Education Advisor – Curriculum, driving organisational change through process improvements. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic, high-impact support to school leaders and educators, helping them implement effective pedagogical practices aligned with our strategic priorities and compliance standards. This role supports our Secondary Schools in Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Logan and Thornlands.

 

  • Location: BCE Office - Woolloongabba 
  • Work hours: Full-time | Flexible working arrangements available 
  • Salary: $133,553 - $148,385 + super 
  • Status: Permanent (continuing)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  •  Provide strategic, curriculum-focused advice to influence school direction and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to analyse priorities and determine organisational needs.
  • Support the development of teaching expertise across AITSL career stages (Teacher, Middle Leader, Principal) and have experience in building leadership capability in College and Middle Leaders.
  • Deliver differentiated support models including instructional coaching, co-teaching, and professional learning networks.
  • Use school-centric data to challenge perspectives, make informed recommendations, and drive improvement.
  • Conduct high-level reviews and prepare technical reports on significant projects and research.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to share expertise and deliver outcomes.
  • Enhance operational performance through subject matter expertise across schools and business areas.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:   

  • A deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogical practices.
  • Have instructional leadership experience and have an expertise in Pedagogy and curriculum. 
  • Proven ability to build capacity in educators and school leaders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and educational excellence.
  • Creative thinker and excellent problem solver
  • Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams in your area of specialty. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or relevant experience (highly regarded).

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements: 

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  • Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
