About our team
The Learning, Teaching and Curriculum team plays a pivotal role in advancing educational excellence within Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE). The team leverages data and research-informed insights to provide policy and guiding direction to support schools in nurturing student learning and wellbeing. Through advice, resourcing, and professional learning, the team enables schools to engage in action and agency towards excellence and equity for all learners, whilst maintaining legislative and system learning and teaching requirements.
Summary
Showcase your ability as the Senior Education Advisor – Early Years (Prep – 2) and play a pivotal role in shaping the learning journey of our youngest students. This role is central to supporting Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) schools in delivering high-quality, research-informed early years education that aligns with strategic priorities and compliance standards.

- Salary: $133,553 - $148,385 + super

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Provide targeted professional advice, learning, and resources to school leaders, teachers, and families across BCE schools (Prep – Year 2).
- Lead the design and delivery of professional development initiatives aligned with BCE’s strategic plans and curriculum compliance.
- Use data-driven insights and research-informed practices to enhance educational outcomes and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to embed sustainable practices and pedagogical principles across schools.
- Provide strategic advice and lead projects that shape policy, influence direction, and improve organisational practices.
- Analyse complex data to deliver recommendations at system, school, and year/band levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic outcomes.
- Partner with school leadership teams and BCEO staff to support Early Years initiatives and transitions.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of programs and initiatives on student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- 5+ years of work experience with demonstrated competence in Early Years Education.
- Demonstrated success in leading educational initiatives, building capacity in others, and providing specialised advice in Early Years Education within a school context.
- Leading a variety of projects to meet operational outcomes.
- Analytical in your approach to problem solving.
- Written specialised reports and committee papers on projects you have led.
- Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams in your area of specialty.
- Relevant Degree qualifications in Education.
- Additional Post Graduate level qualifications in a specialist area (desirable).
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
